What does a healthy lifestyle mean to you? To me its the inner peace of feeling balanced, its having energy when i wake up and throughtout the whole day, its fueling my body with the nutrients it needs to thrive. Its listening to my body and trying to understand it - not neglecting and being angry at it. Its exercising for the physical benefits of feeling stronger and fitter, but also for the mental health benefits. Its spending time in the sun and taking walks along the beach because those things make me happy, its having a glass of wine or 2 with friends because i enjoy the company and the laughter. Its meditatin amd doing yoga to destress and manage my anxiety. Its taking the time to be true to myself, understand what I need and want and taking action to feel physically AND mentally my best! Having a healthy lifestyle is way more than just exercising and cutting down on processed foods and eating healthier. Sure its a big part of it but Its really focusing on your whole self and working to be the happiest version of you, that you can possibly be. What you look like doesnt define you, being thin doesnt always mean youre healthy. Having more money doesnt mean you will be happier. Be YOUR version of healthy and happy. Find what works for you, what makes you feel the most alive and energised, fuel yourself with everything you need to radiate from the inside out 🦋♥️

Been a minute since my last gym posts hey 😂😭 Here’s a couple of low parallel bar exercises to build the triceps, shoulders, chest, and all other stabilizing tissues for those pushing gains! 1️⃣ Tricep Dips - make sure to angle the elbows back behind to properly engage the triceps and avoid abusing the glenohumeral joint 2️⃣ Deep Pushup to Walk-in - it’s SO common for pushups to be performed incorrectly! The optimal angle is where your wrists are at the nipple line, elbows tucked into ribs. This will target the pecs instead of front delts Save to try later! 😘 Lemme know how these go for you!! 💥ALWAYS REMEMBER WHY YOU STARTED💫👏🏽 - - I just want to start by saying I hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend whether you spent it with those you love or just relaxed and enjoyed the day!⛅️😀 - I think it’s very important to remember why and where we started in our lives and the journey we’ve been on! For some of us there has been many obstacles, and other negative moments in our life, and sometimes we may feel like just giving up or feeling like a failure, but I just want to let you know that you got this and keep pushing‼️↙️ - No matter what comes your way👊🏽👏🏽Sometimes what helps me is this idea of remembering why I started in the first place, and I ask myself why did I end up doing this? Or what was the reason for it? What if I told you that performing a simple movement called ‘standing cross-crawls’ could not only loosen up those tight hips of yours but also help restore their mobility? And that cross-crawling could also calm and clear your mind while energizing your body? . . According to yourtherapysource, here’s what cross-crawling is doing for you mentally and physically... ⏺ Stabilizes your walking gait coordination - builds core strength . ⏺ Energizes your body and calms your mind - releases tension and stress . ⏺ Improves your eye teaming skills - essential for focus, reading, and writing . ⏺ Enhances whole-brain thinking - your left and right hemispheres work together . ⏺ Develops proprioception - your spatial and kinesthetic awareness . . 💥 Intrigued? Ready to give it a shot and see what it can do for you even beyond helping with those tight hips and foggy brain? Although cross-crawls can be performed from many different positions, I prefer to do them from a standing position... 👉 Bend and lift your right knee, while swinging your left arm in front of you across the centerline of your body. Touch your left hand to your right knee. 👉 Now bend and lift your left knee and touch your right hand to the left knee. 👉 Repeat this 10-20 times per leg in a comfortable, rhythmic way. Remember to BREATHE!! 😉 . . 💥 Here’s your challenge: Set the alarm on your smartphone to go off a few times each day...then stand up and cross-crawl! Start on your back with your feet together and your heels tucked up towards your butt. 2. Curl back and touch your shoulder blades and your arms to the floor behind you. 3. Curl back up and touch in front of your feet making sure your shoulder passes your hip. 4. Make sure that you lift your upper body from the lower position in one fluid motion without using any momentum 5. Lower your torso slowly because the slower your movement, the more you will be able to engage your abdominal muscles.
