Part 3 will focus on movement prep for the sumo deadlift. The sumo deadlift involves taking a wider stance with the hand grip inside of the legs. The quadriceps are activated more with this stance due to the nature of keeping the lifter in a more upright position. Rear-Foot Elevated Split Squat (RFE SS) - The purpose is for warming up each lower extremity unilaterally and will mimic a similar knee/hip angle that is performed in the sumo deadlift. This movement will help improve hip mobility and get the quads/glutes/hamstrings firing properly. Stand in 2-3 feet in front of a bench and rest the dorsal part of the foot on top of the pad. 90% of your weight should be on the front foot while 10% should be on the rear foot. Hinge at the hip and knee simultaneously while remaining trying to keep the lower leg perpendicular to the ground. Drive with the quads and glutes from the bottom back to the starting position. Maintain even pressure throughout the entire foot and avoid compensation of the lower back. Esta banda está recoberta de gordura para absorver choques e suporta a arcada plantar. • • • Embora as causas de fascite plantar não sejam completamente conhecidas, sabe-se que existem alguns fatores de risco para o desenvolvimento da doença. • • • Entre elas a atividade desportiva em carga (correr, saltar, ballet e dançar), ou quando as pessoas permanecem por largos períodos de tempo de pé; Pé cavo/ pé plano/padrões anómalos de marcha; Diminuição da dorsiflexão do tornozelo; Retração dos músculos gastrocnémio-solear e isquiotibiais; • • • O principal sintoma é a dor no calcanhar, muitas vezes descrito como "pontada". A dor tipicamente possui um início insidioso e sem irradiação, muitas vezes ao sair da cama de manhã e tende a aliviar após dar os primeiros passos. A dor tende a agravar ao subir escadas ou se o doente permanecer de pé durante algum tempo. • • • O diagnóstico é dado através de exames clínicos e de imagem. O tratamento para Fascite é conservador. Being a physio is a bit like being a detective - if we ask the right questions and really listen, we are a good way to understanding your problem before we even look at you move or ‘put our hands on you’. The skill is in the listening, being patient not to rush to hear your story. For some people, telling ‘the story’ comes easily, for many though a little help is needed to ‘remember’ the details or for us Physios, the clues! It got me thinking that it works both ways. During an appointment we have oodles of information and education to give you and invariably some exercises to complete at home. Completing the exercises well and as intended is a really important part of your recovery. It wasn’t that long ago that it was common to quickly draw out some stick men pictures of home exercises to complete at the end of a session. You were doing well if the piece of paper made it out of your bag when you got home! I’m pleased to say that stick men are a thing of the past! There are too many organs and muscles in the way to access most of the dysfunctions on our body with stretching or manual release. Until people learn that they have to move in ways that respect evolution and tensegrity, through the usage of leverage, they will continue to see the next release for some kind of relief. . . People juggle between diets, stretches, exercises, and psychoactive substances hoping to find equilibrium. They are on right track in terms of searching for equilibrium, but the problem is the approach they use is still too simplistic. They gotta go deeper. They need to understand the most common denominators that enable humans to move well in ways that don't lead to pain or injury. Athletics are a guide for this. . . When I look at great athletes who have long careers in sports that involve running (likely the most fundamental movement on humans), the deep squat is not the most common denominator in their performance. Sequential aspects in their running most certainly are. There are also 4 dimensional aspects to their movement that have literally nothing to do with a deep squat. . . The fitness industry is a carousel of ideas. The deep squat is once again making a comeback. I know I can't impact everyone, but if I can help a few of you here, I'm doing my part. . . Be safe guys. Esto se puede ver reflejado tanto en competencia como en un entrenamiento. ⠀ ⠀ ✅ El objetivo de un calentamiento previo al ejercicio es aumentar la flexibilidad de los músculos y los tendones, estimular el flujo sanguíneo hacia la periferia, aumentar la temperatura muscular y mejorar el movimiento libre y coordinado. Todo esto nos beneficia en:⠀ ⠀ 1. Mejora del rendimiento en el entrenamiento o competencia🏃🏼 2. Prevención de lesiones🤾🏼‍♂️ 3. Preparación psicológica🧘🏼‍♂️ ⠀ 📄La evidencia demuestra que un protocolo de calentamiento con las siguientes 2 fases es óptimo para un mejoramiento general en el rendimiento de una persona que realiza actividad física: 1. 🦵🏻 Come affrontare le “𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗲”? Che differenza c’è tra 𝗘𝗗𝗘𝗠𝗔 e 𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗙𝗘𝗗𝗘𝗠𝗔? ↘️ L'edema è causato dalla presenza di liquidi che si accumulano negli spazi tra le cellule. Le cause di edema sono tante, una della quali è l’insufficienza venosa. Essendo composto principalmente da liquidi, la sua consistenza sarà morbida al tatto. ↘️ Il linfedema è molto diverso. La linfa è anch'essa un liquido che si forma in tutto il nostro corpo e viene veicolato dai vasi linfatici che nascono a fondo cieco negli spazi interstiziali tra le cellule. Ma la caratteristica peculiare della linfa è quella di essere molto ricca di proteine, che a loro volta tendono a trattenere con sé acqua. Proprio per la presenza di queste, il linfedema risulterà molto più organizzato, fibrotico e difficile da palpare, dunque più duro. Ci sono due forme di linfedema: ↪️ Linfedema primario, ovvero quello congenito. ↪️ Linfedema secondario, che si sviluppa nel corso della vita. The fruit of Gentleness allows us to be mild in behavior— forgiving rather than angry, gracious rather than vengeful. The gentle person carries the attitude of Christ Himself, who said, "I am gentle and humble of heart". Learning from our own faults and the merciful nature of God, we attempt to find a place of neutrality in recovery where we do not need to react to every perceived slight. Paul exemplifies the fruit of Gentleness as he talks to the people at Areopagus about their worship of pagan gods: ”’You Athenians, I see that in every respect you are very religious. For as I walked around looking carefully at your shrines, I even discovered an altar inscribed, to an ‘Unknown God.’ What you unknowingly worship, I proclaim to you’” (Acts 17:22-23). Our dark past can be used as an asset to help others through empathy and gentleness, knowing that we once stood in their shoes. Today, in this time where we might have a chance to slow down our lives, may we pray for a deeper awareness of God’s purpose for our life and be gentle to ourselves and others.
