Tanken var att Vattentraska lite, men Zehra ville träna dykning... Högt vatten, dvs upp till hundens bog, gör att det blir liten belastning på hundens leder och det blir lätt för hunden att röra sig. Lite vatten, strax ovanför hundens varpå (handled) gör att hunden får kliva mer vilket är bra för muskler och leder, men är ganska tungt! För djupt vatten, men hunden kan precis bottna, brukar göra att hunden blir explosiv och skuttar/plaskar och simmar om vartannat. Alltså ganska våldsamt om man har nedsatta leder eller muskler! Zehra skulle gå i högt vatten så att det blir mjukt och lätt för henne att träna rörelseomfång i den skadade bogleden utan att det blir explosivt eller behövs styrka i och med simning, men som ni ser så var det ju skojigare att dyka efter pinnar på botten! 😅🌊 #svanskogshundfysik #canineopat #hmärkt #vattentraska #rörelseträning #sommarhund #zehrasrehab #rehab

Shoulder Blade Winging❗🐤🕊 - Do your shoulder blades wing❓Do you get pain in your shoulder❓ Or perhaps you have difficulty lifting your arms above your head❓ - One of the most common reasons for shoulder blade winging is due to weakness, lack of control or reduced activation of the serratus anterior (SA) muscle - This is due to the lack of localised strength of SA during movements of the shoulder, particularly with pushing forward or upwards. One other reason that can contribute to this is muscle tightness in pec minor, levator scapulae and internal rotators of the shoulders. - Try these exercises out below to help improve this! - 1️⃣ Wall Scap glides - Beginner level exercise priming SA to protract the shoulder blades and then control retraction coming back. - 2️⃣ Cable scap protractions - increases load and strengthens SA’s primary function - 3️⃣ Cable Scaption Raises - improves SA strength/activation through a more dynamic ROM as you raise your arm up - 4️⃣ Forearm wall slides/climbs w/ foam roller + loop band - pressing into the foam roller creates more resistance against protraction, thus increasing SA activation. Yes!Yes!Yes! As an endurance athlete that has competed in some of the most difficult endurance athletic events in the world (2x Ironman), I can 100% attest to this truth. This is why it is so important to train for #pregnancy, #birth and take special care to #rest, #recover, and #rehab after pregnancy and birth. Birth, any birth (natural, medicated, vaginal, csection, traumatic, emergency) comes with it’s fair share of risk, risk to injury and injury, pain (omg! The pain!), soreness, and a huge mental shift. THEN you have to deal with weeks of sleep deprivation after that! (No wonder some moms lose their sanity #me🙋🏻‍♀️) You HAVE to cut yourself, and the new moms around you, the same slack you would to anyone who has just had a major medical event in their lives. Yes, birth has been happening since the dawn of time, but birth without a supportive community around the mother is a real modern issue. Mothers, put YOU at the center of everything. So, I haven’t been active in a while so I thought I’d do a little update of what’s been going on. So previously after getting lovely skirts from seraphinasteps and bun wraps from beautiful.bowtique.bysarah I was so excited for summer classes but then things kind of spiralled downwards from there. So we have had the results from my MRI scan and it showed that I have bruising to the bones in my ankles and various stress points which could result in foot oscillation. So with summer classes out the window, I have to have rest from dance for 6 weeks and during this rest period in on a schedule of high intensity physio and a Pilates program (which you can see in the video). I’m finding it so hard to resist the temptation to dance everywhere and am missing it so much but I’m going to have to wait until September. We’ve done our ballet school show, Beatrix Potter and Friends, I played Jemima Puddle-Duck and hopefully soon I will have some photos as we had some professionally taken. For those of you that heard the commentators at Swoop Freestyle talking about how I was jumping with a dislocated shoulder, after it popped out climbing up on the jet ski, here is the reason. A few weeks before the meet I took a huge hit to my bad shoulder landing a bit funny and it came out again. It was 100% for the whole first half of this season, and I had just gone sub 2 seconds in Speed a few jumps prior. I had worked really hard to get full stability and strength back in my shoulder and it worked, this was just a hit at a really bad angle. I had to use the pea gravel and my elbow to put it back in as I got up. I got an mri and there was no further damage to the tear in my labrum, but every muscle and tendon in the joint was sprained. Since it was so strong it bounced back incredibly quick and it felt normal for The Practice and Qualifying jumps. Hurting it on the jet ski of all things after the qualifying jump reset the healing and I really struggled with the feeling and stability during the Finals. For those of you who care I will be completely fine, it’s not a weak sauce joint that comes out easily. I just need some rest and it will be back up to full strength in no time, I’m already rehabbing and doing what I need to do. Eye on the prize 👀 Meet dzemail.o, a friend that shares the same passionate drive with sports and active daily living - ‘I started playing basketball in 2014 after not being able to play any sport for years due to damaging a disc in my back. I couldn’t run with the ball, shoot or even pass, but it was something fun and challenging I was able to share with close friends. I still have a long way to go in terms of skill, but I have developed new friendships and found a fun way to stay on my feet and relieve stress at the same time. Dealing with shoulder, knee and ankle injuries constantly, I still strive to get in the gym a minimum of three times a week to keep my body functioning the way I need it to, as well as playing basketball three times a week. Compared to where I was when I first started I’d say I am a good example of consistency and effort, now that I’ve started and gained momentum I’m sure I can only improve.’

Nonostante la maggior parte dei testi d’allenamento 📚 si riferisca agli “hamstring” come muscoli flessori del ginocchio, la loro funzione principale è quella di stabilizzare il ginocchio e l’articolazione sacro-iliaca e assistere all’estensione dell’anca. . Il muscolo semitendinoso e semimembranoso agiscono in maniera eccentrica come stabilizzatori del ginocchio durante la prima fase di contatto a terra del piede durante la corsa; inoltre assistono i glutei nell’estendere l’anca. Il bicipite femorale, invece, agisce in maniera eccentrica “frenando” l’estensione del ginocchio (soprattutto) durante la fase finale dello “swing” del passo (fase di volo del piede). Attraverso la sua contrazione isometrica aiuta anche a stabilizzare l’articolazione sacroiliaca durante l’appoggio del piede a terra. . L’infortunio agli hamstring è tra quelli con maggior incidenza per quanto riguarda i “soft tissue injuries”. Molti studi si riferiscono al Nordic hamstring come uno degli esercizi più utili per quanto riguarda la prevenzione degli infortuni di questo distretto muscolare; tuttavia questo risulta essere una proposta molto impegnativa e la maggior parte degli atleti con i quali lavoriamo non sono in grado d’eseguire l’esercizio in maniera corretta e sicura. EXERCISES COULD BE THE SOLUTION TO YOUR PLANTAR FASCIITIS: The plantar fascia is a band of connective tissue that connects the toes to the Achilles tendon, which works in conjunction with the gastrocnemius and soleus muscles (Calf’s), to produce propulsion of the foot and ankle during walking, running, or jumping. Excessive tension or inflammation of the Plantar Fascia can be excruciating and typically leads to pain at the bottom of the foot near the inside of the heel. Although there is a multitude of conservative treatment options, having exercises you can self-manage your plantar fasciitis at home is key to avoid long term pain. The Muscle Stick Plantar Fascia Release is a great exercise that can be done with most patients utilizing a muscle stick or rolling pin. Begin by taking the shoes off (socks optional) and placing the muscle stick on the bottom of the foot near the heel. For this exercise it can be performed sitting or standing. Slowly push the heel into the muscle stick to your pain tolerance, while rolling the stick up and down the bottom of the foot. When a painful spot is located, stop and attempt to place more pressure into the area before rapidly flexing and extending the toes for 5-30 seconds. Begin rolling again attempting to locate another tender area and repeating. . How frequently should you be getting adjusted? . . Acute injuries are new complaints ranging from mild to severe and are typically associated with trauma. It is common for acute injuries to be very isolated with a rapid onset. For less severe injuries in the mild to moderate range we see a short term window to maximize the body’s innate systems for tissue repair and function restoration. A standard treatment plan for an acute injury is 2-3 times per week for 2-4 weeks. As the treatment plan progresses, there is a reduction in frequency of visits as the patient progresses until resolution is reached. . . Chronic pain can be exacerbated by mitigating factors such as age, degenerative changes, and occurrence of symptoms. Typically presenting as overuse or compensation injuries, these ailments can linger for months and require a longer term plan for the patient. Treatment visits begin at 2-3 times a week for 4-6 weeks. At the end of this first period a follow up evaluation is performed, any advanced diagnostics or testing is ordered, and treatment continues at 2 times a week for 2-4 weeks. Again, another re-evaluation is performed and the treatment plan will be reduced to 1 time a week for 4 weeks. The goal here is to help the body recover as much as possible while reintroducing the aggravating factors back into the patient’s daily routine without causing a flare up. Maximum medical improvement (MMI) is commonly achieved and future maintenance, rehabilitation, and pain management is recommended. . . Maintenance care is for the individuals prioritizing, performance, health, and longevity. Preventing problems before they arise is the easiest form of treatment in rehab today. Typical treatment of maintenance patients is once a week to once a month and coupled frequently with massage, exercise, and dietary modifications. . . Exertional Rhabdomyolysis (ER)-Creatine Kinase Levels - - As we dive into our series on Exertional Rhabdomylolysis, it’s important to look at some of the complications associated with it. - - ER is associated with increased levels of Creatine Kinase (CK) which is an enzyme important for metabolism and helping to regulate ATP levels in the body. - - In those with ER, CK levels have been found to be elevated due to the break down of muscle. One study found that CK levels were highly correlated with length of hospital stay. Because of severe #artrosis or complicated #fractures or #irreversible massive lesions of #rotatorcuff, the shoulder joint can be replaced with a #prothesis. Prostheses are not a rarity in medicine, but the #shoulderprothesis represents an exception because it is the only one that can be mounted " #anathomical" or " #reverse". The choice to do the surgery and with which type of prosthesis, obviously, lies with the orthopedic surgeon who, after bilateral evaluation, after diagnostic tests and after evaluating the patient's functional expectations, chooses which of the two prostheses to implant. From the orthopedic point of view, if the lesion of the cuff is massive, it cannot be repaired because the tendon is no longer suturable because the muscle has become fat (it is called #Fatty #Metaplasia). The conversion of muscle (metaplasia) into fatty tissue it is irreversible and loses its contractile activity. In this case the answer can only be a prosthesis that no longer uses the rotator cuff, or the famous reverse prosthesis or Grammont. #Grammont considered an old idea: instead of prosthesizing the head of the humerus with an hemi-sphere, this one is placed on the scapular glena, while the hollow component is hooked onto the humerus. The rehabilitation objectives are, in order of importance and time: - Remove the pain and the feeling of anesthesia; - To Limit complications; - To Limit adhesions and the onset of adhesive capsulitis; - To Improve the passive and subsequently active ROM; - Muscular reinforcement; - Reach an excellent elevation, preferably up to 110 °; - Resumption of functional gestures for daily life (combing, taking objects placed at the top, etc.). 🔴Secondo uno studio, la LOMBALGIA colpisce circa il 70% dei danzatori. . ⭕Escludendo patologie quali spondilolisi, e spondilolistesi, nella stragrande maggioranza dei casi si tratta di un mal di schiena che insorge lentamente, senza presentare mai un picco di dolore tanto acuto da richiedere la sospensione dall’attività. . ❗❗In questi casi, la causa è da ricercare soprattutto nelle “posture scorrette” o in una debolezza muscolare. . 👍Ecco quindi un ottimo esercizio di rinforzo del “core”, ovvero di quei muscoli addominali e lombari che contribuiscono al mantenimento della postura e alla stabilità della colonna. Si tratta del PLANK, un esercizio molto famoso, ma al tempo stesso molto efficace! .
