Borderline Personality Disorder....Sometimes my friend other times my nemesis. Somedays super low, somedays super high, always unpredictable. I've had some pretty rough crashes, black and white thinking has been rearing it's ugly head recently which has been beyond self sabotaging. I cry a lot or I laugh uncontrollably. It's like a Ying and yang of the mind....too the point sometimes i question whether this mind really belongs to me. All this sounds pretty tiring right. But I'm me, I'm beautifully me. My heart is as full as anyone else's, I have so many positive traits that counteract everything. Empathy, kindness, manners, love, compassion, friendly...and much more. I have a medication review on Friday and attend therapy to learn new skills. It's a battle everyday. I won't lie it's fucking exhausting, it's painful, it's hell at times but I'm perfectly me! <3 <3...not my diagnosis. Mental health doesn't make a person bad or scary or horrible. Some of the nicest people in the world have mental health issues. Mental health doesn't discriminate. It shows courage and strength of those fighting a battle. What ever you are going through or have been through, you are not alone. Domestic Abuse, Verbal Abuse, Physical Abuse, Emotional Abuse, Emotional Blackmail, Sexual Assault, Anxiety, Depression, Paranoia, Self Harm, Suicidal Thoughts, Lack of self worth,esteem and confidence, Distorted self image. These are just a few of the things that I have dealt with/ deal with personally. I represent someone who has fought with all these but do I let that become the be all and end all.......no. I live on. I want you to know that you are not alone with your feelings and mental mindset. It takes time to push through and grow. Some days you will think back to what you dealt with, with sadness but you got through it. You are an example of someone whose not let what has happened in your life dictate how you should feel, who you should be or what you should do. Zolafit reminder... Moment of truth❤️ This is for those actively struggling to overcome adversity. Whether it be from a death, traumatic event or are struggling with negative emotions. You can get through this and be in a place of peace where you can breathe... hope again. When you are on a journey of healing it can feel as if the healing part will never end... but do not give up! In the past I would wake up in the morning with this overwhelming feeling of negativity that would hit my soul like a huge piece of wood knocking me into a brick wall... This is an extreme representation but all very true... The feelings were immense and had been present for years. In the morning I would actively purpose in my heart to focus my attention away from the fears and anxieties. I began focusing on the fact that God made me exactly as I should be... That God had all things working out for my good including the experiences that had hurt me the most... Learning to trust these facts and being grateful that the outcome would be in my favor was the first step. The second was walking away from the toxic situation I was in and breaking the cycle of external pain coming from outside situations I did not control. The final step was learning to appreciate myself as a whole person not needing someone to complete me... We are whole on our own! The people in our lives that bless and love us are a compliment to our completeness. When I wake up in the morning now I smile and have this feeling of overwhelming hope for what can and will be... One of peace because I have learned that if we focus on what is good, right and pure... on the simple truth that we are strong enough and can create amazing futures... We heal! We represent ourselves and our confidence will be the very first thing that people see. We control how we are perceived... Scars or no scars we are irreplaceable... Not a single person can take our places... Love yourselves enough! Always! Live! Really Live! Everyone said It’s okay, Its a part of life. We all go through this, it’s pretty much normal. Don’t make a big deal out of it. And we didn’t make a big deal out of it. Because since our childhood we were taught that “it is pretty much normal” for the way we feel. You know it is weird sometimes when you don’t even know the mental condition of a person, and you start with your futile counseling sessions. You just utter balderdash in front of a person who is mentally endeavoring to recover. We need a friend, not a delusive person who will start blabbering that what so ever we are going through is nothing nobody else has. Don’t say ‘Things will get better,’ ‘Tomorrow is another day,’ ‘I know how you’re feeling,’ because, in all honesty, you don’t. Even if you suffer from depression, everyone’s experience is vastly different. It’s not your job to fix your friend or “make everything better.” Instead, try to reflect their emotions back to them. Your friend needs someone who can hear whatever the problem is. It doesn’t matter if it seems like a small or big problem to you—it’s overwhelming to your friend, and he or she needs to talk about it. A lot. Your friend does not need to know what you think about his situation. You just need to sit there and listen to them and that is it. Tell them it is not at all alright to feel this way, that it sucks. Go visit them, get them icecreams. No, you dont need to take them out or make big plans with them, You dont need to freak out when they start crying. Just hug them, let them cry. Assure them that you both will find a way to end this. Even if you find your friend’s issues to be extremely bush league, do not overlook it. Mental illness can be very menacing. A report by the World Health Organisation (WHO) revealed that 7.5 per cent of the Indian population suffers from some form of mental disorder. Mental illnesses constitute one-sixth of all health-related disorders and India accounted for nearly 15% of the global mental, neurological and substance abuse disorder burden. Happy Hump Day! Feeling super vulnerable but here goes... . 1)The girl on the left was frail, not only in the physical, but mentally as well. The girl on the left was broken and vulnerable. I wanted to heal, at the same time, I wanted to feel absolutely nothing. To feel something meant dealing with my trauma. Instead of leaning on my faith, my family, or my friends I started leaning on drugs and alcohol. At that point I had given up on putting forth the effort to actually see a change. I just wanted to be numb. To feel meant addressing being a victim of sexual assault, as well as domestic violence. Tackling your mental health head on is a lot easier said than done. Thank God for therapy which gave me the voice I feel like I never had. Just having someone to talk to, in a judgement free zone was life changing! 2) Along my journey back to health, I started eating ALL THE SWEETS!! Taco Bell chalupas at 2am, and a venti macchiato in the morning. I was exhausted, energy level on 0, and starting to feel those same feelings of depression and anxiety again. I was filling my void with food. I was feeling overwhelmed, going back to school...as an older student gave me the WORST anxiety. Trying to balance being a good mom, wife, and student was stressing me. I was so drained everyday and felt like I never had time to complete it all. 3)A few months ago I started using arbonne nutrition. I’d always heard good things and a friend of mine shared the gift of Arbonne with me. It truly has been life-changing!! Seriously, the 30 days to healthy living program gave me the push I needed. Using healthy, vegan, gluten-free products has made a huge difference!! My energy is back y’all!! I actually started running again (haven’t done it in FOREVER)!! I’m just so blessed that these products are keeping me healthy and focused. A healthy lifestyle is making all the difference and keeping me that much closer to emotional health, and sobriety. Going through my album, I found lots of food photos. Our relationship with food is fascinating. Certain foods give you high energy levels so what we eat affect how we feel. One can eat too much sugar and that can change the mood and energy. And then there’s those with eating disorders. By having a better relationship with food choices, one can control compulsive eating disorders and weight gain. By taking charge of your appetite, you may also gain a feeling of calm, high energy levels and alertness from the food you eat. Seems very easy. #Repost hayleysweightlossjourneyx • • • • • • My biggest regret? Letting it take so long for me to realise I’m capable of achieving my goals. I was 28 when I started losing weight and working towards a healthier lifestyle. 10 years of carrying ‘puppy fat’ and failed diets that I’d quit because I felt like it was pointless and I wasn’t destined to have the body I wanted. I told myself it wasn’t achievable. I found contentment in other things like shopping and makeup. I looked for other people to love me instead of learning to love myself. Learning to love myself wasn’t just about losing weight, it was about realising the strength I have by hitting my goals. If I could have told myself years ago what I was capable of instead of putting myself down all the time I would have. Hitting your goals can be a slow process. It took me 10 years. I often get messages from people who are disheartened because they don’t see results over night. It doesn’t happen that way. It didn’t take me a week to become over weight, just like it didn’t take me a week to lose it. But the point of this is, if anyone can relate to that feeling of ‘its impossible’ and ‘it’s just not meant to happen for me’, I believed that too. You are capable of anything, no matter how big or small the goal is. You are unstoppable, powerful and strong. Don’t compare how quickly things happen for you with others, you never really know someone’s back story. But motivate each other, spur each other on and celebrate each other. Use others as motivation, and don’t put things off because they seem unreachable.
