Glute Activation 🍑 - - I will never go back to my normal lower body routine after this!! 🔥 - Normally on leg day I skip a big warm up because I don’t want to fatigue myself - but holy cow you guys! 🍑🍑🔥 - I have NEVER had such a good booty pump after doing 1-2 of these glute activation exercises before starting my workout! 🔥🔥 - Before: I didn’t feel my glutes engaging as much as they should be during squats. I always felt the fatigue in my quads rather than my hamstrings & glutes! - After doing 2 of these exercises: I felt the burn {more engagement} & fatigue in my hamstrings & glutes! My booty was on FIRE & that’s how it should be if you’re looking to grow it! 🍑🔥 - - You can use this workout to isolate your booty OR you can choose 1-2 of these to use as your warm up before your leg day! I know I’ll be doing 1-2 of these EVERY time. 🔥🔥🔥 - - Workout: ▫️ 3x12 {each side} Banded donkey kicks ▫️ 3x12 {each side} Banded fire hydrant ▫️ 3x20 Banded glute bridge + Hip abduction ▫️ 3x20 {10 each leg} Banded reverse lunges ▫️ 3x20 {each side} Banded straight leg kickbacks ▫️ 3x12 Banded squats - - Song Look At Her Now by Selena Gomez

Glute Activation Sequence . 🍑Your glute max acts as a hip extensor, but often times the hamstrings and low back can take over and try to do more than their fair share of the work! . 🙌🏼This sequence is a great way of making hip extension glute max dominant again. (great as part of a leg day warmup!) . ✨The first step in this sequence is the most important: SQUEEZE YOUR GLUTES! This will help to decrease overcompensation in the low back and hamstring. . If you find you are still having a hard time decreasing compensation in the low back, try placing a pillow under your stomach. . ➡️Give this sequence a try and let me know if you have any questions!

NOT YOUR AVERAGE GLUTE WORKOUT!! 🍑🤩🔥 . SWIPE TILL THE END TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED 🤦🏽‍♀️😭 & BOOKMARK TO SAVE THIS WORKOUT! 💪🏽 . I always incorporate a “Booty Isolation” Day once out the week! I usually stick to my staple exercises like the deadlifts and hip thrusts I just like to add different variations to make it fun. 🤗 . Here is what I did: Superset👇🏽 🍑 Single leg pushdown on a lat pull down machine- 3 x 10 Reps (HEAVY) 🍑 Slow and controlled Step Ups- 3 x 10 (I really focused on the burn) . 🍑 Single Leg Cable Stiff Deadlift Pulls? 🤷🏽‍♀️ I legit made this up lol - 3 x 12 Reps . 🍑Single Leg Barbell on a Dumbell Deficit Hip Thrust- 3 x 12 Reps . Superset👇🏽 🍑 Banded Single Leg Stiff Deadlift Pulses- 3 x 12-15 Reps 🍑 Banded with a Cable Side Kicks- 3 x Till failure. Wait till the end 🤦🏽‍♀️😭. . . MY 5 FAVOURITE GLUTE EXERCISES 🍑. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you’ve been following me for a while ... you know my love for glute training 🙋🏽‍♀️. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Why is it so important to train glutes? Because the glutes are the largest muscle in the human body, so they should be strong = better posture, better hip movement, injury and pain prevention... and oh yeah, have a nice looking butt 🍑. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here are some of my fav glute exercises: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1) Hip Thrusts: seriously, the thrust is a must. Hands down this is by far my fav glute exercise out there. We can thank bretcontreras1 for this masterpiece of an invention. To the men out there who may be hesistant on this - therock does these. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2) Machine Kickbacks: push through the heel to activate the glutes more. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3) Banded Cha Cha-Cha: these are fun and they burn! Keep your knees pushed out into the band. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 4) Duck Walks: cable/dumbbell/plate - all are killer. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 5) Sumo Deadlifts: been a staple for years to hit the outer glutes and activate the hamstrings. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I have too many fav exercises lol but these are definitely some of my top go to’s. ⁣ Booty work 🍑🔥⁣ ⁣ Exercises for side seat- aka gluteus medius.⁣ ⁣ A vanity muscle of the lower body for sure, but also critical in maintaining hip and pelvic stability as well as overall hip health. ⁣ And *very* important to strengthen if you’re a runner 🏃🏽‍♀️⁣ ⁣ 1. Full-range clamshell⁣ 2. Internal + external rotations⁣ 3. Knee taps ⁣ ⁣ Perform each exercise for 60 sec all on one side, then repeat whole circuit on other side. Repeat the whole thing once more 😉💥 . . . #🍑 #glutesworkout #glutestrength

This one worked me!!!! This is a lower body workout from the other day! I did supersets with limited rest time because we’ve all been guilty of twiddlin’ our thumbs for too long in between sets!! . . Am I right?!? . I’m definitely not an exception to that, so I pushed myself for this lower body session!! . . Superset 1: Sumo deadlift 4x10-12 Leg press4x10-12 . . Superset 2: Hip thrust 3x10 Bulgarian split squat 3x12 . . Bin wieder da, . Es waren wirklich zwei wunderbare Tage um einfach mal komplett abzuschalten. . Für mich heißt es jetzt erst mal absolute Sport Pause. . Warum mache ich dass? . Die Frage zu beantworten ist ganz leicht. Manchmal muss es einfach sein dass man nicht Immer dem Sport hinterher Eifert. Sondern dem Körper einfach mal Ruhen lässt und sein Leben genießt. Sich auf andere Dinge konzentriert die einem gut tun. . Motivation ist dennoch da. Aber Motivation hin oder her. Viel motivierter starte ich ins neue Jahr! . I think one of the best feelings in the world is not giving a shit what other people think of you or what you’re doing. A lot of people feel the need to humiliate or undermine what people are passionate about or make them feel like an idiot, and I genuinely don’t understand that mindset or how it even comes about😂 This time a year ago, I cared SO much about what people thought of me. You CAN lose weight and keep it off.... but how..?⠀ ⠀ Everyone wants to lose weight and maintain those results they have worked so hard for. However, the unfortunate reality is for many it doesn’t always happen that way.⠀ ⠀ The reason behind this in my opinion is two part:⠀ 1. A lifestyle wasn’t created that is sustainable.⠀ 2. A reverse to maintenance wasn’t put in place and the person began over eating.⠀ ⠀ So how do you lose weight and stay lean?⠀ ⠀ 1. Make your training a lifestyle. If you are killing yourself with workouts and under eating at a huge deficit to the point of exhaustion there is no way you will continue anything even close to this.⠀ ⠀ 2. Once your goal is hit, implement a reverse diet and taper down your training to the point of maintenance.⠀ ⠀ 3. Train and eat at maintenance to keep your results.⠀ ⠀ Yes. Try this superset for your next leg day. Sumo stance RDLs to toes elevated (hamstring focused) dumbbell squats. This equipment is at most gyms. 🍑 RDLs- keep the barbell close to your legs during the exercise. Do not go too wide for your stance. Wide enough to engage your inner thighs. 🍑 Barbell squats- keep your arms straight and to the sides. Chest should be up the entire time to maintain proper form with your upper body & the dumbbells. Focus on not letting your knees go over your toes when you are going down into the squat...You should feel this mainly in your glutes and hamstrings.
