Wednesday 19th February 2020 THERE IS SO MUCH TO DO!!! WOW! Way to pack on the #pressure right?! You might not be familiar but there is a great thought leader called Byron Katie who pioneered a system called The Work on how to practically deal with your thoughts and their effects on your life. She talks about “business”, there are three kinds - your business (your actions), other peoples’ business (other peoples’ actions) and God’s business (natural disasters, etc.). Is it true that there is so much to do? It’s very easy to become stimulus-strained and in this world of frantic bombardment every second, you need to do two things. 1. Slow down to speed up (Tim Ferriss - marvellous), i.e. chill, relax. 2. Learn to take responsibility for what you CAN control. This is why I talk about “ #business.” - if you take the whole world on your shoulders, you’re going to get crushed. Don’t focus on everything you need to do. #Focus on what’s in front of you, get it sorted and then you can move on!

Today checked on PRs for the first time in about a month and learned a lot about what I need to focus on more and what I’m currently on good track with. In the first video I attempted 250lbs and failed and in the second video I attempted 235lbs and hit it with ease. Moral of the videos, today’s lesson and things to always tell yourself.... always chase progress, never perfection. As long as you see growth in yourself and see your goals becoming a closer and closer possibility, you are on the right track and doing what you should be doing!! 𝐂𝐔𝐈𝐃𝐀 𝐓𝐔𝐒 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐒⠀ ⠀ La forma en la cual preparas tus alimentos puede tener un profundo efecto en las calorías que consumes. ⠀ ⠀ Por lo regular, entre más elaborada sea la preparación, más grasa o aderezos lleve, más calorías terminas consumiendo. ⠀ ⠀ Obviamente esto es algo que quieres evitar si estas en busqueda de perder grasa o mantener un cuerpo definido. ⠀ ⠀ Con el objetivo de tener un mejor control de tus calorías, te recomiendo utilizar preparaciones que requieran de poca grasa (salteados, al vapor, horneados, a la plancha, etc) y evitar agregar grandes cantidades de aderezos o aliños en tus preparaciones (aceite, mayonesa, mantequillas, vinagretas a base de aceite, etc). ⠀ ⠀ En la infografía tienes el ejemplo de la papa, pero lo mismo puede aplicar a varios alimentos. For the past 7ish months I’ve been pretty silent with my progress. During this time I’ve battled a lot within my head in regards to healing the self destructive and criticizing way. Now, I’m not saying I’m completely past doing this but I have learned to accept myself as a whole. I have learned (slowly) to not care about the opinions of other people. I have learned to give myself grace and time. With this, I have continued to push myself in the gym on my own schedule. And within this time frame I have surprised myself with how much I have grown mentally, emotionally, and physically. I believe I’m ready to take this to the next level and compete in #wellness My body and my mind are NOT the same as what it was not even a month ago. And I am so grateful for this growth. It’s time now to dial it in and get ready for the statusfitness arnold_model_search in just a few short weeks. I am beyond excited to see and meet and spend time with every single one of you. You can also take it a step further and really explore how your body moves, and how well it can do the things you are asking of it. Here I am exploring my internal rotation of my hips, specifically in 2 positions. With my hip adducted close to my midline and with my hip abducted away from my midline. I also explored trying to maintain the same degree of rotation in both positions and while moving between them.
