Only put this on at 6:30pm today so I’ll take it 😂 currently doing the couch to 5k and loving it!! If you are crap at running defo do it because I feel like I’ve improved after only 3 runs. Hoping starting running will help me lose those few extra lbs. Does anyone else get so self conscious though that people are staring at you running? Since the sun was shining today my dad and I decided to go out and have a nice walk around the little local lake. It was so nice to just sit there for a little while watching all the birds flying around looking for wood to feed their babies. The last few week I've been becoming a bit anxious about going out again. Not because of worry about the virus but worry about seeing people again as my social confidence has dropped a little. I'm going to go out for more walks now to try and build some back up again. I take progress photos for me.⁣ ⁣ There are some that will never see the light of day. ⁣ ⁣ They don't serve as a reminder of what I don't want to go back to. ⁣ ⁣ They serve as a reminder of what's happening on the outside as I travel through my wellness journey. ⁣ ⁣ They are a reminder for sad days, for mad days, for blue days, for dark days, for melancholy days. ⁣ ⁣ On days I don't believe, I open my "Progress" album and click through the pictures because you can't deny the truth when you see it. ⁣ ⁣ There have been a lot of emotionally down days during this journey. Your week is fine for four, and then something hits you, sometimes it's something you can't even identify, but you're blindsided by the negativity you feel, and for three days you're throwing the biggest self-pity party of the century. ⁣ ⁣ I learned a long time ago to see my emotions as a day-to-day thing, honestly, sometimes second-to-second or hour- to-hour is even better. ⁣ ⁣ What I feel in THIS moment does not define my entire day, nor does it define tomorrow, or the week, or the month, or the year. ⁣ ⁣ I'm a human, and I am affected by my personal life, the lives of my family, the lives of my friends, my job, the news, social media, the world, what I'm reading, what I'm learning, what I'm seeing, what I'm hearing, and what I'm feeling. ⁣ ⁣ The list goes on and on. ⁣ ⁣ I know myself well enough now to know that I don't want or need to self-soothe or comfort with food. ⁣ ⁣ Sometimes nature is in order. ⁣ Sometimes a good book is in order. ⁣ Sometimes a talk with my mom is in order. ⁣ ⁣ I don't attach shame or guilt to how I feel. ⁣ I just sit with it. ⁣ Usually an hour passes by and something else catches my attention. ⁣ I also don't attach shame or guilt to food. ⁣ ⁣ I'd rather use it to celebrate a birthday or an achievement than to comfort something dark because it helps me to train myself to think that way as well. ⁣ ⁣ The changes outside are slower than those inside, but change is the name of the game nonetheless. ⁣ ⁣ ❤⁣ ⁣ #selflove #weightloss #health #ww #weightwatchers #bodypositivity #wellness #losingweight #weightlossjourney #fitfam #progress

Today I sat down and wrote some goals. I was thinking about all of the different things that have happened over the last five years and directed my thoughts to the future. I think the biggest thing I’ve learned is that goals are flexible. Life happens and you change, don’t be so hard on yourself if you don’t complete a goal or if your goals change. That’s a part of growth, learning, and life. My goals that I wrote down are: -smile and laugh more -Get my degree by June 2021 and figure out what I want to do after I have it -Spend more quality time with the people I love -Make new friends -Be more outgoing -enhance the relationships that truly matter -Be myself unapologetically -Take my RBT test in the next month or so -Be more present -Allow myself to get below a perfect score in school without crying or stressing out about it -Figure out what’s going on with my body, no matter what doctors say. In this episode, we are talking about having the right mindset when it comes to fitness and health. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, we have noticed two kinds of people who come to the gym. One group froze their membership and stopped where they were, while the second group didn’t want to lose the progress they had gained. They wanted to continue with their fitness journey and get through the crisis. Those people who have an all or nothing mindset did not want to explore other ways to continue with their fitness journey. The other group explored other ways to continue with their fitness such as online classes with a coach. Completely stopping means losing all the progress you have made, and makes it harder to get started again. Working with a coach is very important for accountability. Coaches are essential in guiding people through and this couldn’t be clearer than right now in times of a crisis. The likelihood of succeeding in your fitness journey without a coach is minimal. So even when working out at home, a coach remains essential. Hallo Leute 👋🏻 der Donnerstag und damit mein Homeoffice Tag 🏡 ist geschafft. Ich finde es ja super dass wir diese Möglichkeit haben und durch Corona mal ausprobieren zu können. Nur leider besitze ich nicht gerade viel Selbstdisziplin um mich dann durchgehend konzentrieren zu können. 🙄 Mir fallen dann tausend Sachen ein, die ich doch eben nochmal schnell machen könnte und sitze somit viel länger am PC. 👩🏻‍💻 Als Lösung um Zuhause mal was erledigen zu können um den Arbeitsweg nicht zu haben ist es super, aber ich bin froh wenn ich wieder jeden Tag ins Büro kann. Self love and body positivity/acceptance isn't something which happens overnight. It takes work and serving yourself constant reminders not to fall down the rabbit hole of self sabotage and hating your reflection! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It also doesn't necessarily mean you love your body, I still have a hard time saying I love my body but what I can say is I now accept and respect my body. My body is so much more than cellulite, stomach rolls, double chins, chafing thighs, love handles. It is my home. It keeps me alive and moving everyday which I am beyond grateful for. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I'm having a bad body image day/week at the moment, feeling puffy and blah so what helps me during these times are: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • Avoid constantly body checking - this ain't gunna help anything • Think of all the amazing things your body does for you • Remind yourself this is just temporary, you won't feel like this forever • Remember you are so much more than what you look like ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So be kind and gentle with yourself because you've only got one body, show it the love it deserves and know that everyone has bad body image days! ❤❤❤

I still have just as many shit days as well as positive days - neither out way the other. Today I started my day being confident/happy in my sports bra and leggings to putting on my bikini and feeling utter embarrassment and frustration... • I looked at my shape, at the extra fat I carry around my lower belly and hips (we all store most our fat in different places - this is mine), at my cellulite, my muscle which I want to be bigger. It can never be as simple as just changing clothes and I can’t even give myself any incredible advice that will make me stop because the reality is it’s not that simple! • However, knowing that I’m not the only one who experiences this is a massive help to me. I try and remember I’m not alone, all of these things are normal and human and we all have it. My negative thoughts are NOT me and they don’t make me any LESS than anyone else and I hope this reminds YOU to try think the same🧡

•Don’t put negative labels on your body• I find myself doing this unknowingly all the time. I’ll be taking a picture and shift my body saying, “that’s my bad side”. Or I’ll look at a photo and say, “I have a giraffe neck!” We all put little labels all over our body. Some are positive, some are negative. This might be nit picky of me but I believe every label and word you speak about your body has an affect. Ikea did an experiment with two plants to find out the affects of positive and negative talk? It’s bazaar. One plant was bullied while the other was complimented. The bullied plant quickly withered while the other one grew strong and beautiful! This is both true for plants and us! Check it out on YouTube if you get the chance, it’s super neat. The point is, remember to speak compliments and encouragement to yourself when you catch a negative comment slip through. You deserve to flourish.🌱

So, we just wanted to remind you that when you get scared of looking TOO mascular while staring at professional female bodybuilders or weight lifters you are seeing years of work in front of you.⁣ In those pictures, people quite often:⁣ ⁣ 🙃 dehydrated their bodies⁣ 🙃 oiled up⁣ 🙃 know how to pose⁣ 🙃 use filters to increase definition⁣ 🙃 have just done workout and pumped up⁣ ⁣ In reality here I am with back muscles that some might find already too much, gritting my teeth to engage those leftovers of lats and rhomboids, so Lara could take a picture.⁣ But when I relax I look just like any other girl on the beach. Overhang WHO CARES? ⠀ We are beautiful just being us. What does it matter if we have a thigh gap or not. Have a slim tummy or not. We all have our bodies no two are the same. ⠀ We are 1 in 7 billion, How are we expected to be a certain way. Being able to show you guys the reality behind the photos really gives me pleasure. Showing you the raw photos of how bodies look. That my body type isn’t perfect, my body isn’t your body but that’s ok. ⠀ If we all had the same bodies we would be BORING! Are we expected to have the same music tastes? Food? Clothing? No we have different ones so our bodies will be different. ⠀ We need to appreciate the difference and love each one. Day 67/154 (May 27). Got up and went to the gym at 5 am - an hour on the treadmill on the highest incline & fast pace. Leg day (leg press & weight machines) & then my normal “Pilates” - which was 3 types of squats & 90 total, 100 crunches, 30 leg lifts & then I did some jumping jacks. I was def SWEATY af when I left the gym this morning. I did a walk on my morning break, lunch break & afternoon break. Eating was pretty good today - I did eat a chicken strip.
