Perhaps no one is more of an injury risk in the early rounds than Vikings RB Dalvin Cook, who had a disappointing 2018 season in what was supposed to be a massive sophomore comeback season (he was coming off an ACL tear). Latavius Murray stole a lot of his work (especially at the goal-line), but he didn’t help his fantasy owners by getting hurt again and missing a total of 5 games (and on a pitch count in a few others). Latavius Murray joined the Saints and it remains to be seen how much work 2019 3rd round RB Alexander Mattison will get, but as of now it seems as if Cook will handle the bulk of Minnesota's carries in a workhorse role. If Cook can stay healthy he has as much potential as most RBs in the league, but that’s a HUGE if. Add to that the horrible Vikings O-Line didn’t get a whole lot better over the offseason and I don’t think I can bring myself to spend a pick on him at his ADP of the 2nd round. He’s risky, for sure, but potentially exponentially rewarding at his draft-day price; if you’re feeling ballsy and draft Cook, just make sure you pick up Mattison as well as an insurance policy for when Cook inevitably goes down #dalvincook #vikings #minnesota #runningback #football #nfl #kick #run #pass #throw #tackle #hit #fantasy #fantasyfootball
